An abuser may be able to see what sites you've visited by locating and viewing the browser cache and / or history files. We've provided instructions for clearing this information for most Internet browser software.
This information may not completely hide your tracks. Many browser types have features that display recently visited sites. The safest way to find information on the internet, would be at a local library, a friend's or
at work.
AOL Users:
Pull down Members menu, Preferences, click on WWW icon., select Advanced, then Purge Cache.
Netscape Users:
Pull down Edit menu, Preferences, select Navigator and press
"Clear History" and "Clear Location Bar"'. On the left, select Advanced then Cache, click on "Clear Disk Cache" on the right.
For older Netcape versions: Pull-down Options menu, select Network Options,
Cache, and click on "Clear Disk Cache".
Internet Explorer:
Pull down Tools, Internet Options, on General page, under Temporary Internet Files, click on "Delete Files", Under History
click on "Clear History."
